The Brief

5i Business was growing rapidly with a full pipeline, but the company had reached a common hurdle – it had grown so quickly that the branding and marketing hadn’t kept up. As a result, the sales team was relying on out-dated materials that didn’t reflect the business’ expertise, offering or scale.

The company partnered with UX-Digital and its associates Gunning Marketing and Peak Agency to develop a digital marketing strategy that reflected the business plan, targeted key audiences and facilitated scalable growth.

5i Business were keen to adopt inbound marketing and looked to begin the process of nurturing potential customers with the right content and automation using the HubSpot CRM managed by UX-Digital.

Our Approach

Many of 5i Business’ challenges arose because its marketing was ad-hoc. As a result, the messages weren’t targeted and there was no consistency, which limited the impact. We started by creating a strategic foundation for future marketing, articulating the value proposition, brand values, key messaging and tone of voice alongside an updated visual identity.

Because the IT services and support market is so saturated, we took a customer-centric approach to brand development. We homed in on 5i Business’ target audiences and used their goals and challenges as the basis instead of focusing on a laundry list of services and products (a common pitfall for competitors).

By researching user journeys and online behaviour, we developed wireframes and a user experience that direct different customer types to relevant information quickly, all while reinforcing the company’s key messaging.

The website – with the updated visual identity and copy in line with the new value proposition – was live in just 2 months and gaining momentum with consistent and regular content offerings.

The UX-Digital team set up and managed the 5i Business HubSpot portal to support sales and drive inbound enquiries. We worked through a fast tracked HubSpot onboarding process with key sales representatives minimising friction between UX-Digital (marketing) and the 5i Business sales team.

A content plan and social media strategy was then created which is now ongoing, and working hard to target the right customer profiles in support of ongoing growth. We have also begun the process of automating content offerings to nurture customers quickly and efficiently ensuring quality leads for the sales team with minimal distractions.
